In 2022, Copenhagen Architecture Festival wants to investigate and discuss how we sense, experience and understand places, and how architecture and urban planning help to create them.

For the sixth consecutive year, a varied festival programme throughout the country, shedding light on aspects of architecture where it truly makes a difference—in the encounter with human life, aesthetics, and politics.

In 2018, we have chosen the theme 'Housing Home', about home, housing and belonging, as the framework for the festival's programme. We look at what constitutes a home, what it means to be at home and create home.

In 2020, the theme for the Copenhagen Architecture Festival is 'The Welfare City in Transition'
