Disasters are always associated with destruction and grief. The April 2015 earthquake was not different for Nepal; it caused havoc in lives of millions of Nepalese people. It disrupted their lives, damaged their homes, many lost their lives and livelihoods. But it is also said that disasters also bring opportunities to make things better and improve lives. The story of Kalpana is such testimony that how the extremely poor and vulnerable families got support from everyone and could build her own house even in crisis.

The film addresses the struggles of queer artists due to the ongoing oppression and phobia against LGBTI+ youth. The situation in the country leaves many with mental health problems and generally adds up to the lack of motivation that has been there due to the lack of financial and moral resources. Increasing hate crimes against the community threaten many young people and shrinking public safe spaces leave LGBTI+s behind. The film is a self-protest against the ongoing situation and addresses the poor realities of the country regarding queers.

It is a fictional film focusing on the experiences of queer people in the general public and public toilets with a twist. Generally, queer people feel uncomfortable in the streets and public places in Baku including the restrooms. There are many unfortunate cases of physical attacks, harassment, and hate crimes. Baku’s streets ARE NOT SAFE for queer people. But, the movie takes a different look at the issue and tells a story of a gay man using public toilets as cruising areas.

Hong Kong was claimed to be one of the most energetic cities in the globe with the vase varieties of building environments to meet its dynamic demands of cultural, ethical and demographic diversity. The ever changing city is currently experiencing gradual gentrification. More and more historical buildings were revamped into commercial purposes, while some were converted to cultural grounds. The film discusses the juxtaposition of the development and conservation through a journey of the everyday working class that eventually discovers the disappearance of heritage around the cities. The hybrid management model seeks the balance and solutions of conservation and maintenance. This model making conservation projects works well as 'purikura'- a great selfie machine, but inevitably deprived the core values of local culture. As stakeholders contributing the society, we shall all consider what was “left behind” the revitalization.
